Abort report processing

Is there a way to abort a report from executing once the use has executed the refresh option?

Based on the parameters the user has entered to run the report, I wan't to check if the criteria is correct and then continue or abort the report.

You can fake this by altering the record selection criteria if they've entered something improperly.

Do your parameter sanity check within a formula which returns a boolean or 1 vs. 0, and then add in something to the record selection criteria like:

1=2

if it fails.

The you can conditionally display a message showing why they failed.
