Abobe 5.x w/Excel 2000 - Crash on Exit

I have an interesting situation going on.

Until today, I had only installed the Acrobat Reader. My first installation of Acrobbat 5.0.5 seemed to go well. All components appeared to load correctly. I tested the conversion (DOC to PDF) and went very smoothly from within Word. I installed this on a Win98 se PC, w/Office 2k

Each time I open an Excel file, it will open. However, if when I attempt to close the Excel file, or close Excel all together I will get either a complete freeze/lockup, or the BSOD/GPF. This doesn't happen in Word2k, only Excel. Excel was working fine pre-Acrobat.

Looking around, the only reference I found for this suggested our AntiVirus software (Norton AV Corp., Edition) may be bumping heads with the Adobe PlugIns.

Needless to say, uninstalling Acrobat didn't fix the issue. Excel still crashed on every exit. Only a re-install of Office2K fixed the issue. However, I still need to get this working on this user's PC. Any suggestions you may be able to provide would be greatly appreciated. Am I totally overlooking something?

Thank you.

Follow-up.

Found support document 326505 @ Adobe's web site.

I think I've fixed the issue. (Not solved, but fixed to where the user is happy using it). I simply removed the PDFMaker items, and use the Distiller to Print. One more step, but gets the job done.
