Hi,
I have bought this card on ebay a year ago form Germany and ever since it was having problems running Direct3D applications. Too bad i didnt see that in time to get back my money... Anyway the card is doing fine untill I start something that requires 3d support. Like games. Then it works for a second or two after that the picture goes weird. It still runs though, it does not hang... I have made some screenshots if needed. Using latest abit drivers, tried latest nvidia ones (detonator), nothing works. Motherboard bios uptodate. Maybe the card's bios is to be reflashed, but i couldn't find any. Please help if someone knows this problem. Again it happens only when acceleration is needed. And one last thing I have ASUS A7V333 and it says under adapter information BUS: PCIx0 ?!?! Thanks :)

Do you hve the latest version of DirectX installed and do you have the latest drivers for your motherboard installed?

Motherboard A7V333 VIA 4in1 4.56v drivers installed - just reinstalled them and the PCIx0 is gone now im using AGPx4. Video Drivers from Abit 61.77. Also tried the the ones from Nvidia 81.85 and 71.89. Still the same thing. I sended some shots to a frend he says such things are called artifacts.I was about to flash the BIOS too (it uses 4.31.20.38), but even though i found the same version on the net the test makes the card show matrix-like screen in DOS. So I didnt have the guts to flash it. Where can I get the original Abit BIOS?

I did the following - downloaded Rivatuner and mounted more serious cooling device. Then tuned the core clock to 300 MHz. And it worked. Dunno why, the card is supposed to work at 325 too, but it cant. Looks like Abit overdid overclocking it :D
So problem solved :)
