Abit IT7 Max USB troubles

Has anyone had issues with your IT7 Max motherboard from Abit that is stricly USB and firewire? I have random issues with some of my USB ports where Windows reports the port has been disconnected. I've look on Abit's site for new drivers for both the Intel and Via usb chipsets and have the newest BIOS.

Is my board going bad?

It could be Windows too, what OS are you running? Check for fixes at MS. I remember some patch for USB last year.

I'm running Windows XP and I have all the updated patches.
