Abit Fatal1ty AN8 PCI Slot Issue

i have had this board for near 3 years now and for the first time i tried using the pci slots and they don't work. i have been disappointed with performance in games lately and while saving for an upgrade i decided to spend a few bucks on a audigy se hoping is would free up even a bit of cpu power.

i tried the card in all of my pci slots and i still get the same error message in vista when i install the driver from the disk: setup is unable to detect a supported product on your system. please ensure you product is properly installed before running this setup program.

Have you installed the latest Nvidia platform (motherboard chipset) drivers.
I find it extremely unlikely that all the PCI slots are bad, so it's either a driver problem or this card you have is faulty.
