When one of our 'thin' users goes to logout they only get the option to 'logoff', which we are more than happy with.

If they are added into an administrator account then they get the addition options of 'shutdown' and 'restart' + the Citrix toolbar, etc, etc. If one of these is selected then it applies to the Server itself, which is bad as it kicks everyone off.

Are these additional options configured as a result of them being a member of the admin group? or are there tick box's I should be looking out for? I think its the former but need clarification.

System Config is: W2K SP1, MetaFrame 1.8 SP2

Thanks
Tim

Why do you want to add them to an Administrator account?

I don't want to add general users into an administrators account. It's something I've noticed, as I require admin rights, and wanted an answer as to why it happens.

Hi !
You only have to create a user group and name it admin-citrix. After open a new mmc console and add the plug-in GROUP POLICY.
CLick on Local PC Strategy,
Click on Windows Parameter,
Click on Security Parameter,
Click on Local Strategy,
Click on Define User Right.
Then select the strategy SHUT DOWN THE SYSTEM
and add the group admin-citrix and take off all of the other.
Make this on all your citrix server if you dont have an Active Directory.
This correct the problem at my site i have 8 XP citrix server (4 W2k and 4 NT TSE).

And excuse me for my english....

have a nice day.
