Hello all,

Since I upgraded to GW 6.5.4, I have had a couple of abends with the same info in the abend.log:

Code:
Abend 1 on P00: Server-5.70.03: Page Fault Processor Exception (Error code 00000000)

Registers:
    CS = 0060 DS = 0068 ES = 0068 FS = 007B GS = 007B SS = 0068
    EAX = 51DB7240 EBX = 00000000 ECX = 00000000 EDX = 00000000
    ESI = 00000000 EDI = A7583FDC EBP = A7583658 ESP = A7583620
    EIP = 00000000 FLAGS = 00010286

    Access Location: 0x00000000

Running process: gwinter         6 Process
Thread Owned by NLM: GWINTER.NLM
Stack pointer: A75835E0
OS Stack limit: A7564A00
Scheduling priority: 67371008
Wait state: 3030070  Yielded CPU

Additional Information:
    The CPU encountered a problem executing code in SERVER.NLM. The problem may be in that module or in data passed to that module by a process owned by GWINTER.NLM.

I haven't included the stack info and the loaded modules info.

Does anyone have an idea of what I should be looking at?

TIA

Emily.

Any chance you could run a config.txt and post that? Either that or post the complete abend including modules loaded..

with just that part, it's really hard to tell.

what agents is this server running?
i'm asuming that it has webaccess , does it have an mta nad poa on it as well?
did you upgrade all agents to 6.5.4 - ie webaccess as well

emilyo, I suspected the same thing.. You should apply the service pack to all components running on the server..

For a system that is running the full groupwise system (POA, MTA, GWIA, WebACC)... that means 3 separate installs...

1 -- Update the MTA and POA agents
2 -- Install / Update GWIA
3 -- Install / Update WebAccess

I see a lot of cases where the admins thougth they had patched groupwise but had only done the POA and MTA, not knowing they needed to do the rest. So they might be running 6.5.4 on the POA and MTA but still running 6.5.0 on GWIA.. This can cause some problems. Easy to spot when you know what you're looking for.

yep i would as marv says - patch the webaccess as well - it's quick and easy

also i beleive that there is a patched gwtsa that you will need to copy as well - it will not be an abend issue or dont think it was but it patched something - came out last month i think

Thanks guys.
I did the Webaccess update this morning.
I should have guessed that might have been the problem myself. I didn't do it at the time I did the other updates because I kept getting errors.
I had time to think about it and I unloaded all the modules before doing the update and it worked fine.
I'll download the new GWTSA today too.
Thanks again,
Emily
