When one use the For Each – Next you would use the right abbreviation for cells, user form etc.

Is there a write able list in VBA and how do I reach it?

eh ??
You can use whatever abbreviation you like

For each ctl in myForm.controls

next

will work as well as

For each ctrl in myForm.controls

next

You can use whatever abbreviation you like - it is the myForm.controls

that sets the collection to loop through

I’ve always thought that the abbreviations should be strictly named but now I understand that I myself and not Microsoft can baptize the abbreviations!

Thanks Geoff!

well they should at least be identifiable:
"ctrl" or "ctl" for control is good
"a" for control is not so good
It's just about the legibility of the code

You should declare the variables though (Dim ctl as control), this will enable the dropdown to show the available options for ctl, etc.
