There is a transcriptionist who inherited a computer. When she types in a real abbreviation, say ABI, it expands the phrase. When she goes into quick words and quick correct to try to delete it, it is not on the list. Any ideas?
In WordPerfect 8, click on Tools, Settings, and double click Files. Click the Template tab, and check the location of the default template folder.
Close out the settings, and WordPerfect. Open Windows Explorer and locate that folder; there are 2 files stored there (wp8us.wpt & qu8en.wpt) that hold a users settings. Rename both files (i.e. wp8usold.wpt & qu8enold.wpt).
Open WordPerfect again, and all the previous users settings will be gone. New default template files will be created for you.
I hope this is what you are looking for. If not you can always exit WP again, and rename the old template files back to their original name. Everything will be as it was before.
