Abbrevia and Kylix

I was using abbrevia(zip tool for borland)in windows with borland c++ 5.0 but when i tried to use same packages for kylix 3.0(in suse) it didnt work(or i couldnt make it work im not sure)does anyone know what must i do to install abbrevia to kylix?

I don't know Abbrevia, but if it's just a file-compression tool, then you would probably be better off using the standard system tools instead.

but i want to zip them within the program and show the progress bar while zipping it abbrevia makes it easier

Is Abbrevia VCL or CLX? Kylix only supports CLX, as far as I know.

its vcl but in its site it says it suppports kylix

I have Kylix 3 on my Suse laptop, but I've never really used it. Looking at it now, there's no mention of VCL anywhere. If you create a new "Application", it's a CLX application that's created.
