abandoned calls showing in historical report when queue is closed

Does anyone know why there would be abandoned calls during a period the queue is closed (because all agents are logged out).
Out of service treatment is to give IVR and play announcement that queue is closed.
Ran a log-in log-out report and confirmed all agents were logged out during that date/time. Ran an application performance report and it showed abandoned calls during that timeframe.
 
I am guessing that this is occuring on an application performance report, or similar.

This will be normal. The reason:

Call arrives, and is passed into the application by the master script.

In the app, you have a time of day, or similar announcement.

Heres the rub.... the call is in the app, so when they hang up part way through the announcement, the call is abandoned....

By definition... an abandoned call is one that does not logically terminate (eg: present to an agent, disconnect etc).
