Ab Initio on Cross Platforms

Can Ab Initio transform data between different platforms??

If my source database is DB2 on mainframe and my target is SQL Server on Windows NT. Ab Initio also runs on Mainframe on the same server as the source. The target and source databases are geographically located at different locations.
Can Ab Initio transfer data between these different platforms?
