Aastra DECT: DT292

If a DECT handset of the type DT292 locks up, I noramlly use the pin code of 0000 to unlock it.
In some case you need to use the DT292 reserve pin code: "0000 7074 0217 0".
What is the procedure for this reserve pin code?
If the handset does not react on this reserve pin code, what is the next step? (Maybe defective DECT handset).

If the user has activated the phone lock, and entered a wrong PIN code three times in a row, you simply unblock the phone with the general unblock code, the phone will then ask for a new, PIN code, which has to be repeated before the phone is unlocked.
Never heard about any problems with the general unblock code. Do it in the right way and it will work!

We did try to unlock according to your description, but it failed.
Maybe due to a defective handset?
