I am reading through various docs stating Exchange 365 and MWI no longer are supported in AAM 7.1.

Has anyone been able to get this to work? Specifically the MWI while using O365?

Found this is the Avaya Aura Messaging Overview and Specification document:

Messaging supports Microsoft Exchange 2007, 2010, 2013, and 2016 servers. Messaging does
not support Microsoft Exchange 2003 or Exchange 365 as message store options. However, you
can use the email notification options that are native to these email environments. You can also
use Mutare EVM.

I think the issue has to do with the service account AAM uses to log into Exchange. The Service Account needs Impersonation Privileges so it can log in to the individual user's account and check the read status of emails.

Sorry, I'm not an expert in Office 365.

That is exactly what the issue is with o365. M$ will not allow any backend control of the cloud based application. One place I was at designed a hybrid solution utilizing some onsite servers to integrate to the cloud but when you get to that point you've missed the purpose of SaaS from the cloud.

Yeah, wonder if there is any options with officelinx, I will have to research that as I am sure I will be installing that product soon anyway.

update: after some quick reading about officelinx, it does not look like MWI is supported with O365 either.

I believe the Officelinx technical operating guidelines refer to imap sync on office 365 being available leading me to believe it ought to be able to sync MWI
