Hello,

Do the ATM standards require that the VC recepient accept control cells even while in the midst of a packet? That is, a set of AAL5 cells are received and buffered for reassembly. A control cell arrives. It should be processed without affecting the AAL5 cells buffered. And when the remainder of the AAL5 cells arrive, including the end of packet, the packet should be reassmebled without loss in integrity.

Thanks!

Hi 80M

First off, what are "control cells"? Are you looking at the signalling, or are you up on layer 4 asssembling and disassembling the packets?
