I have a location with in-building paging (Bogen) served through a trunk port from the phone system (CS1000E). This site had an Option 11, but now is remote to the CS1000E with a survivable media gateway. We have AACC.

We've discovered that we can access paging (dialing 3111)from non-contact center phones (hear a double beep after dialing 3111), but calling from a DN programmed on the agent's phone, we don't get the tones and can't page.

I'm stumped.

Here's a TNB of an agent's phone:

Any ideas?

Need more info about the paging route but your agent phone has CLS CTD - non-agent phone is UNR

Check your paging route to see if the ACOD = 3111. Most internal routes will have the ACOD as the dialled number. In some cases, it's easier to remove the default TARG of "1" where problems of accessing it exists. However, in your case both TN's are using TGAR "6" and therefore it shouldn't be an issue.

As Stanley as pointed out, your TN's have different CLS settings and changing it to UNR will bypass any NCOS restrictions.

Yes, I saw the UNR/CTD difference. More interesting info. Upon further investigation, they were hearing the tones, but it was so faint that they couldn't be heard over speakerphone. The contact center phones do work with zone 2 (3111-2) or zone 3 (3111-3), but they go to "Release try again" when attempting page to zone 1 (3111-1).

Found a non-contact-center phone with CLS CTD that had the same result. Changed CLS to UNR and the phone could then page to zone 1 (3111-1). Then de-aquired a contact center phone via Contact Center Manager, changed CLS to UNR, and it could then page zone 1.

Not sure why, but this solved the trouble.

Because (among other things) CTD blocks a call that dials 1 after a trunk route access code.
