how do you end the string "hookswitch flash * 4 9 18007762199 ......" on internal it returns to dialtone external its just dead air tried * and # and it does nothing hsw flash nothing aaaahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Is that not how you put a caller on hold with an ATA?

i believe so and if you ext call forward you digital set you can either hit softkey for "ok" or hit hold to activate it.
