AA TRANSFERING TO GENERAL DELIVERY BOX

on a 4 port flash and a 8 port nam if the operator does not answer a call after being transferred by the auto attendant it goes into the general delivery mail box after 7 rings. there are no setting on the operator station turned on for this to occur. i need the call to just ring untill the operator answers. does anybody know how to prevent this from occurring other then getting a faster operator:) or just turning the gd box off? thanx........

I think you will want to look at two things, first check the transfer System programming->feature settings->call back timer, 12 is as high as it can go. and second is that you can turn off the general delevery mailbox so it does not take calls: Feature 9 8 3 -> logon -> 6.

Alternatively: If you have 4.0 or later software you can set up a hunt group that has your attendent as the only member and then make the hunt group the attendent for the voice mail (Feature 9 8 2 ->(login OPERATOR)->Next to Attendent:.

This should let 0 escape calls ring that hunt group until answered, unfortunately at night it will do just that. JerryReeve

At night you should be able to schedule an alternative answer point in Services.
