Hi. I am having a problem with my upgrade. I just installed Messaging module r7 and I am trying to get it set up.

I have the messaging in slot 1 (it would only give me an orange light in slot 5)
A 206 r3.1 module in slot 2
acs r4.0 in slot 3

When someone calls in, it rings once, says "Your call is being transferred" and it rings ext 10.

hunt grp 7 includes ports 18-23 with ringbacks #306 to ext 10.

All CO lines are assigned to the AA
AA is set to like 4 rings or so

AA message has been recorded and menu/selector codes all saved.

Why wont the AA answer? Why is it being picked up immediately and transferred to ext 10?

Help!!!

Thanks

Rob

How many ports is your license card good for? You have the right starting extension (18) to put in Hunt Group 7, but if it is not a 6 port license, you should take the others out.

It's supposed to work with the 206 module, but you could try without it as well.

Thanks TTT.

It is a 6 port card.

I found the problem... I had ports 1,2,3,5 and 6 in the hunt group but 4 was not. I added the fourth and voila! Everything started working. Lines were ringing, aa picking up on the 4th ring, mailboxes working, etc.

The 206 module does work but I need to add another. will probably get a 308. Any specific version necessary?

Now, the issue is - what is the darn ip address of the Messenger?

10.0.0.42 is the default, if you want or need to change that, get into it via hyperterminal and you can change it.
