I have a phone line that rings twice on ext 143 before aa picks up. How do I stop this and always have aa pickup? All the other lines go directly to aa.

Thanks,

Fred

Check Ext programming to see if lines are assigned. On a Legend/Magix you have 2 ways of sending inbound calls immediately to voicemail. The first is assigning the lines to a Calling group, and then overflow that calling group to the voicemail group (generally 770)& your auto attendant mailbox is the number of the overflowed Call group(e.g. 771)The second is assign the lines to a phantom extension (use the lowest logical ID of the phantoms) and assign it to the cover group that routes to the v-mail call group. Since there is no phone, the calls go right to the coverage point, and again the auto attendant mailbox is that extension number. Hope this helps

Check to see that the particular line in question is assigned to the voice mail calling group (usually 770) or to the voicemail overflow group - if you use overflow. If you know how lines are assigned - in system programming, go to extentions, more, group calling, lines/pools, enter the voicemail group extention#, and touch inspect - to see what lines are assigned. If the line in question is missing - add it.
