After 4 rings to the operator the AA picks up and gives options to transfer. Once you transfer and no one picks up it does not go to VM but back to the operator. Tried rebooting, rotary enabling, messing with overflow settings. Any suggestions.

" Once you transfer and no one picks up it does not go to VM but back to the operator."

So you are transferring to an extension (other than the Operator), and it is not covering to the extension's voice mail?

Make sure that your extensions with mailboxes are in the voice mail coverage group, typically group 30, but it could be any group from 1 to 30.

See if your extensions are listed. If not, back up and enter them. This assumes that it is group 30. You should at least see the Operator's extension, since that one covers to the AA.

Good luck!!

All extensions are in the coverage group also. Any other thoughts

Check the Transfer Retutrn Ring vs. the Group Coverage Rings. If transfer return is shorter than group coverage, calls will bounce back to the transferrer instead.

Also make sure that the coverage group is still assigned to the voice mail calling group.

You could always try a restart and see if that clears some funky glitch.

Ill bet TTT nailed it with the transfer return. Change your transfer return to 9.
