AA Night Issue

We programmed the BCM call pilot to answer calls and direct to appropriate greetings based on business hours but now need to change it so the night button will trigger AA and business/non business greetings. Hours change all the time and now when the night button is pressed it sends calls to the AA but plays the greeting based on the time schedule, we need it to play the open greeting always and only the closed when the button is pressed?
 
You'll need to put a second button on the set for Feature xxx Operator function and tell the customer to change the setting BUSINESS OPEN (Y/N)for the voicemail. You should also change the password for the xxx to something simple like 1234 instead of the typical "OPERATOR" PASSWORD to simplify the process.

Doing above F982 is the best bet if you change your company hours on the fly daily but if you mean once a month then change your Table times in Voice mail programming are far better choice.

They are basically changing their hours every other week so its not possible with the BCM time settings. What about setting it up so we don't use the time profiles and program a button to answer lines and trigger the night greeting table at the same time?
 
You cant!

As I stated:
Night button is on the Phone system and is only to tell AA to take over.
Greeting schedules are programmed in the Voice Mail system.

F982 is to close the business so that the closed greeting plays.

Voice Mail and Telephony are two different beasts.


-Is it full AA in day or Human?
-Do they bounce back in forth with the same start stop times?

They do bounce back and forth with the same times. Ex every other Thursday is at 5pm or 8pm.
 
I would probably set my business up like this so that I have the least buttons to press without having to do F982 daily:

Programming voice mail:
AA greetings
Greeting 1 - Normal day greeting
Greeting 2 - Normal 8pm Night greeting
Greeting 4 - Non business 5pm greeting
record the exact same message for 2 and 4 (unless you mention hours of operation)

Programming phone system:
Service Modes
Setup Night Service as Automatic using 8PM as the close time daily all 5 weekdays


So you now only need to do this once every 2 weeks at 5pm on the given Thursday:

-Override Night service by using Night button on reception set (so that is answers at 5pm instead of auto 8pm
-F982/1234/Close Business (so that the non-business greeting 4 plays)

Thanks! So it's not possible to program one single night button that when pressed puts the system in the night greeting and auto answer mode? I know this is how we program our IP Offices in basic mode.
 
We will do what you recommended in the meantime. Thanks!
