I have severely messed up the Auto Attendant Greeting!

All is well when placed on night mode, the proper greeting picks up. However during the day, after 4 rings, instead of the caller hearing the greeting, they are transferred into a user's voice mail (the user can change depending on the number of rings set for their voice mail to pick up).

I am not certain if it has to do with the number of rings set for the System Answer and/or the number of rings set for the CCR.

I have inherited this task from a co-worker and I am completely baffled.

Any assistance would be greatly appreciated.
Thanks.

Are you using a CICS built in Auto Attendant or a Flash voicemail Auto Attendant?

Usually, when using just the Flash AA and your senario comes up that means that someone with outside lines ringing on their phone is forwarded to vmail in a shorter amount of rings than the AA is scheduled to pick up. Probably the one whose vmail is picking up.

Also check the forward on busy.... turn that feature off on all phones that have outside lines ringing on their phone. As soon as they pick up their handsets, that puts them in a busy condition and all calls coming into their phone, including outside lines, are going to be forwarded to what's programmed there. IE., personal mailbox. MRoberts
