The grouping of Tables, Queries, Forms, etc. is a very handy tool in MS Access versions from 2000 up. However, for various reasons, I prefer to stay with A97.

I am interested in knowing how I can group Tables, Queries, etc., A97 so I can keep them straight.

My best scheme so far is to add a description to each object to identify what group of objects belong to the particular area I'm working on. Example: GROUP 1 - Chapter Membership, GROUP 2 - District Leadership, GROUP 3 - Registrered Quartets, etc. From here I can sort them by description. It's a bit unsanitary, but it works.

Anyone have any better methods. It would be nice to be able to hide the unused objects but that may be a bit of overkill.

Thanks,

Ron

That's one way - another way I've used is DUMMY guys that alphabetically, can live between groups of similar stuff.

and so on. You're right though, it is kind of ugly. I'm trying to be a bit less anal-retentive when it comes to this kind of stuff, but I find as I age, visual groupings help me remember what the heck I was doing yesterday...

Speaking of hiding unused objects, if you preface any object name with Usys, (it doesn't have to be BOLD though.[wink]) it will not be shown in the DB window, even though it's completely accessible otherwise.
