A5200 photon

Hi

I have just attached an old photon to an E220 running solaris 10. My problem is that I cant see the photon when I do a luxadm probe or any other commands like format.

I've tried a reboot -- -r but still cant see the disks.

Any advice would be much appreciated.

Is prtdiag -v showing the fibre card? If prtdiag does not show the fibre card then you will not see the array.

Do you have link lights (looks like lightening bolt) on the front of the A5200 when booted. No link light and you will not see the Array.

Also do you know the part# on the fibre card? may not support the a5200.

There are lights on the panel and they look ok...any ideas?

You can try running through your cfgadm commands to try and manually bring the device(s) online.

Turned out there were a few packages that I had to install on Solaris 10 from the installation dvd before it would see the disks.
