I just added 2 A5000s to an E450 running Solaris 7. Both are attached to the server in a redundant single-loop configuration. Each A5000 has 2 interface cards, 1 GBIC per card. Each GBIC is tied into its own HBA in the 450. I believe all the HBAs are using the Qlogic 2100a chip.

When I booted my system with 'boot -r', only one of the A5000s was detected. luxadm commands work fine on it and all the necessary device files were created in /dev/dsk/ and /dev/vx/dmp/.

The other is not seen with luxadm and no devices were created for any of its disks. Note that the lights by each GBIC on this unit display solid green with a solid orange light to the right. To verify I didn't have a couple bad cables, I even swapped one out. Same thing..

Interestingly enough, I believe the HBAs were recognized as when I install remove drives on the array, I do see LIP resets and Loop reconfigure complete messages. For the 'invisible' array!

Any help on getting this 450 to recognize this 2nd array would be greatly apprecitaed. Thanks in advance!
