I know that Access 2000 exporting to an Excel 5.0/95 Workbook is a known problem (hope it got taken care of in 2003 ). However, it is usually not a problem, but I have this situation where I need to export 45+ queries to Excel every month to feed a bunch of graphs. AND I NEED TO SPEED UP THE PROCESS. Hope someone out there can help.
1. The directory where I export the graphs to changes monthly. I have not figured out a way to link the "output file" portion of a macro line to a table where I keep all my dates.
2. One I get the query exported, I have to save it in two steps -- one step to save it so that it converts to Excel 2000 and another step to close it. Is there anyway to mechanise this process from Access. BTW, you can not use a standard "save" in Excel because it saves it in 5.0/95 and I need to save it in 2000 so my graphs will link.
3. Any other ideas to speed up this process will be greatly helpful.
