Hi. Here's another one.

On just one workstation running Win98SE, the following error message occurs when trying to print. All was fine until this morning.

There was an error writing to \\<tree name>\.<printer name> for the printer <printer name> : A write fault occured on the network.

I also tried to add a new printer on the same box using "Add printer" and received the following error:

Spool32 caused an invalid page fault in module DPLWIN32.DLL

I have to assume that these two problems are related.

As usual, any help or suggestions would be (and are) greatly appreciated!

From Novels NSC

Symptom: Getting SPOOL32 errors on client when printing
Error: "Spool32 caused an invalid page fault in module DPLWIN32.DLL at 016f:01fb6b09."
PCL6 Drivers caused problems (PCL5e problems went away then returned.)

Change: Installed the 3.21 client.

Fix: The download copy of the client is corrupted. Re-download and install the client from a clean copy of the install.

Quick update.

I reinstalled client and drivers. I can now print a test page from the server and from the printer dialogue box with no problems. The only problem now is printing from Word or Excel 2K. I get the same "write fault" error. I click OK and the print job sends and prints fine. Weird. I'm in the process of reinstalling Office 2K and see if that works.

Thanks again for your help and suggestions!
