A work around for my problem? 1

I have a customer with a legend 4.2 release. They are wanting a calling group set up with one member (for now). They want to use delay announcement, but also want to be able to forward the calling group calls at night to another location. Problem is, if a calling group member forwards their phone, it logs them out of the calling group, making them unable to receive calling group calls, in turn making them unable to forward the calling group number to the night destination. Can anyone thing of a work around where they can have both delayed announcements, and able to forward the calling group calls at night?

I'd say you may want to do it this way.

Put a REAL extension in a non-used cover group.

Program the CALLING GROUP (Not Voice Mail) to be the cover receiver for that cover group.

Now, during the DAY, leave that REAL EXTENSION in D0 Not Disturb (Thus, it will go to the Calling Group right away)

At night, forward it to where ever....

Pure genius! It took me a few minutes to figure out you meant make a real extension from the DID, but once I figured that out, it worked like a charm. Customer is very happy now!
