I posted this question on the MSDN forum earlier today and haven't received a reply on it yet. As I'm under the gun to get a complex report finished, I'm apologetically posting it here as well:
I'm relatively new to SSRS 2005, have used Crystal and Access for many years. In developing with SSRS2005, I have experienced a few times when I change something, and it appears in the report creation interface like the change I made was complete, but an error message indicates that some residue of my previous setup remains. I have found the references remain in the HTML sometimes even though they are deleted or changed in the report creation interface.
I cringe at the thought of changing the HTML as I have no experience with it. Is there a way - perhaps a utility - in the interface to force a rebuild of the HTML correctly after a change in the interface doesn't seem to update in the HTML? Or what is Microsoft's recommended way of dealing with this problem?
Also, is this a bug or am I doing something that is causing this to happen? If I'm causing it, I'd like to stop!
Thanks in advance!
