A Virus Alert WIth No Virus Name !!!

I keep on getting Virus alerts on my local computer without the name of the virus even though I disabled macro and heuristics scanning.

What is the cause of that ? how do i turn that off ?

First thing i would do is check that you have the latest version of the software - and virus definitions. McAfee's generic scan-engine can detect viruses that are not known - and as such will not have been given names. If you can find the file it says is/has a virus i'd go to this link:

http://www.mcafeeb2b.com/naicommon/avert/avert-research-center/submit-sample.asp

and follow the instructions on how to submit a sample. They can tell you if it is an actual virus or not!
