A table that won't be copied

The main table in a database simply refuses to be copied. The reason offered by Access is that another user is busy with the table. But this is not so.

I can't copy the table and rename the table, I can't import it into another database, I can use a MakeTable query to do it that way.

I can copy the whole database, but that same table in the copied database refuses to be copied - or to be renamed.

I can steal it with Excel - but then I lose all the lookups and the like.

Anyone had this problem before please, anyone found an answer, please?

You have no open form, hidden or not, with this table as part of its recordsource when you try to copy the table ?

Hope This Helps, PH.

Not that I know of, HV. Everything is closed when I try the various ways of copying. And it's not a one-day thing, this has been a nuisance since I began the database about a month ago.

(I can copy other tables, only this one table won't be. The most important table, naturally.)

See if a window is running in the back ground...
From the main menu, select "Windows" -> "Unhide".
If the "Unhide" feature is turned off, then you probably do not have a window running in the background.
If the "Unhide" option is enabled / usable, you will then see a dialog window depicting hidden forms that are open. If PHV and I are right, you will see a form that is open that is also keeping your table open.

Select the form, and unhide it.
