a source that provides stats on competitor websites?

a client recently asked me where they could obtain statistics on competitor websites. they are familar with sites like Alexa and Compete but the sort of stats they are looking for include a true number of visits, and other activity within a competitors site, etc.

my initial thoughts were that i dont think there is a source that provides this type of information, but i thought i'd give this forum a try and question if anyone has any knowledge of a source that could provide this info??
