I am a user and need help troubleshooting this since the company we contract with has made no progress. We have a problem where we will come into the office and have the same voicemail occurring almost 100 times in extreme cases. There have been a few times where we also are unable to receive calls when this is happening. Our phone support contractors don't seem to have a handle on it. What can I tell them is the problem so it can be fixed? Please help!

Gonna need a little more info. Is it a real VM message? What is the message? Spam? Robo caller? Is it on every extension? Does it go to a personal mailbox, or a general message box? What time does the envelope say the message came in? It there a caller ID?

There have been a few times where we also are unable to receive calls when this is happening. Does it hit all of the AA/VM ports?

I have seen this. Besides re-setting the system to clear out that phantom call. I have seen where for some reason a call will loop off the auto attendant into a general mailbox. Sometimes its a PRI most times its analog lines off an IAD or EMTA with questionable disconnect supervision. MY solution was to make the AA hang up after it times out. Press 0 est to leave a message. Serves a couple purposes stops teh looping and robo-calls.
