Hi,

I have a corporate web site (Apache 1.3) that has a few files in a secure area for some customers
to view. The access and authentication for the site work OK. But i'm having a problem with
a powerpoint file. Through the web site, I can SAVE AS, but I can't open the file in the
browser (IE). Why can't I load this presentation in the browser? I am able to do this with
powerpoint files from other sites.

Thanks for your help
Danny

Danny, find the part of the http.conf file where it starts listing "addtype", then add these lines

AddType application/vnd.ms-powerpoint .pps
AddType application/vnd.ms-powerpoint .ppt

Restart the service an enjoy.
