Does anyone know how much the A+ Exams cost? compTIA's site is ambiguous. It says the certification consists of 2 exams (Hardware and OS) and that the test is $145.

Is that $145 for both parts, or $145 for each part mening the certification testing is actually $290?

Either way I'm gonna have to bite the bullet, I'm just hoping to save some$$.

The full (advertised) price for the A+ exams is $145x2 ($290), however you can get discount vouchers for significantly less.

currently lists the cost of vouchers for both A+ exams at a total of $182 (over $100 off the retail price).

Don't pay full price for the A+ exams.
