A REQUIRED DLL FILE, PFP1100.PFC NOT FOUND 1

I wasn't sure which area to ask this question so if I'm in the wrong place, I'm sorry. I just installed an HP 1012 (small laser printer) on one of the desktops at work. Now when he logs in he gets the error message: A Required DLL File PFP1100.pfc Not Found. I've searched the HP site as well as all over the internet for that file. No luck.

It seems to be causing him problems when he prints in one particular program (Landtech Real Estate Software).

Any ideas or suggestions of another area to post this? Many thanks.

If installing the printer was the only change made to the system immediately before the problem started, then uninstall and reinstall the printer and its software, and see if that helps.
And be sure to install them exactly as per the instructions.

also I would recommend the host based driver HP provides on there site. it works much better with the 1012

Thanks for your input. I installed the host based driver but I can't get an answer from the guy about whether it helped his problem or not. I do know that he went from not being able to print at all, to having a working printer after doing this. However, I don't know about the particular software he was having a problem with. I didn't want to wait forever to thank you and it might be that long before he responds to me. Thanks again.
