A/R Reports hang for all but one user

The setup:
1. W2000 server, SP2 with Terminal Services.
2. Accpac Enterprise 5.1A, all latest SP's loaded.

Everything running smoothly (at last!), meaning all the relevant folder permissions have been set correctly. We still have only the following problem.

The reports involved:
1. A/R Customer Reports | Statements / Letters / Labels.
2. A/R Transaction Reports | Customer Transactions.
3. A/R Transaction Reports | Aged Trial Balance.

The problem:
If user A (a particular user) logs in on the T/S client and then logs into Accpac under any Accpac user name, she can open (1) but not (2) and (3) - referring to the reports above.

If any other user logs in on the T/S client and then logs into Accpac under any Accpac user name, they cannot open any of the three reports.

What happens is the following:
Instead of displaying the screen where you specify the parameters for the report, a small Accpac progress bar is displayed that runs from 0 to 100% and then starts over again, and over, and over..... Thereafter it is not possible to close Accpac (incorrect procedure, another window is open) although no other windows are visible. The only solution is to reset the T/S session.

I tried duplicating user A's profile (both W2000 and Accpac); re-installed A/R (with and without the latest SP), all to no avail. Newly created users are also unable to open any of the reports.

Please help!

Hi,

I just a few of my own nightmares with A4W and TS. The reports seem to cause all kinds of trouble in that specific environment. I would first try and use the 4.2 reports and see if they work. Then from there it is quite simple.

ps.

If you are getting the error while in a Terminal Server session, refer to KB 4215. Apply
SM 5.0 SP3 (or up) and add to the registry this key: HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINE\SOFTWARE\ACCPAC INTERNATIONAL,
INC.\ACCPAC\Roto With the string value "Standalone" set to "Yes".

11. Make sure the current logged on user has at least Power user rights - for updating the Windows
registry, HKEY_CLASSES_ROOT.

12. Do not create a map drive for an ACCPAC directory that physically exists on the same machine.
Simply use the local hard drive letter (launch the program by double clicking Runtime\ACCPAC.exe).
