On another subject, (and after learning more of broadband's limitations thanks to you all), I'm now going to break up the movies further, so i have a quick quest - right now i have 1 timeline with say 10 MCs on it. I am now cutting out each MC and turning it into its own movie and linking them all together with the loadmovie command.

So here's my simple quest- when i cut out the movie clip and past it into its new file, I obviously end up with a main timeline with the said movie clip on it.

... or i could go into said movie clip, copy all the frames out and past it onto its new timeline- thus i guess wiping out the need for the MC concept.

Since copying all the frames and pasting seems harder than just copying the 1 frame MC and pasting, I'll take the 1 frame anyday...

But is there anything I should know? Does complicating the movie by using a now useless MC increase movie size? Are the aspects about still using the MC that would make one continue to use it? Ect.

Thanks out there

Hoss

IMHO: Wipe out the MC and just copy timeline to timeline. It is a little more work, but you will be able to address movies (_level1) rather than movie clips(_level1.mcName).

Hope it helps.

Wow JT that almost looked like you knew what you were doing!
