A question for all in Legend Land.
I have R7.0142 processors and a stange thing happens when
the tel set is unplugged and then reconnected, it activates
the ringing feature with any pool or private line. I have
to use SPM and turn off the ringing feature again. This happens with MLX & Analog sets, pool or PBX mode.
Is this a quirk with this release or is it a undocumented
new feature...any ideas.

Dan

That is a strange one. If everything is correctly administered you might have a corruption in the translations. Before any initial programming was even performed the processor's memory should have been wiped atleast 3 times. The best thing to do is pull the battery strap for 15 minutes but usually 3-5 wipes will do it. Then you have to reprogram everything from scratch, do not restore as those translations may be corrupted. This is the only potention fix I can suggest.
What did avaya say?

Thanks for the reply.
This has happened with more than one processor. I use the
7.0142 upgrade card. There have been no other programming
or operational problems. I don't feel it is a corruption
problem as much as a quirk or some unknown new feature. As
long as the tel set stays plugged in to the card, then there
are no changes.
If there are no pools or private lines on the set...then no
problem disconnecting the set from the card....go figure.
If you come up with any other ideas, let me know.
Thanks..... Dan
