A question about Excel dates?

I have been asked if Excel is able to work out future dates. For example by putting in the date of an AGM as 5 February, it can calculate the date of 10 business days later (which would be 19 Feb).

They also asked if it would also know if there were bank holidays in that date range.

I don't know it is 'clever' enough but have been asked to put it to a forum.

Many thanks

Hi,

Check out the WORKDAY function.

Many thanks, we don't have that add in though, but maybe with a later version.

The analysis tool pack is part of the standard Excel package, you just need to go to Tools | Add Ins... and check it.

It's the Analysis ToolPak add-in.

What version of excel are you running??

WORKDAY is in the Analysis Toolpak. Go to Tools > Add-Ins and check the box beside Analysis Toolpak.
