a problem with be 8.6

In the Activity Monitor i can see the job running, with the job status "media loading" and the percentage of 99%. When i look in the job log, i can see the that the files were saved to the tape, but the verification of the files seems to hang. There is no error message or other kind of information in the log. When i use F5 or refresh nothing else happens. Also i can't find any problem with the system, all services run.


I use Win2000 Server and BE 8.6 I was searching in the Veritas Support Database, but could not find any help ! We did not change anything on the server, and day's ago the jobs run perfekt without any troubles !

Does anybody know how to help ?

Does the job finally end? Verification 'hanging' at 99% is normal. It will 'sit' there for a while and then finish. Why? I don't know. A lot of products do the same thing, they seem to rush to get to 99% and then 'hang' there for a while before completing.

I found the solution for that problem. The job needs more space than the tapes have left, so it hangss in the state "loading 99%", and waits for a second tape. After i inserted another tape, it startet the backup. I had to insert the first tape again and it started to save the files. After a while i had to insert the second tape and the job was well done.
