I have a strange problem with an access db which i think may have been caused by a virus.

When users try to input anything in to db the error message:

"A problem occurred while ms access was communicating with the ole server or active x control"

How do i go about closing the ole server outside of access?

Does anyone have any idea why this has suddenly occurred?

Thanks in advance

Andrew

Hi,

Ole server or active x control refers to a picture or control you have added to the form, delete it and try again.

It is unlikely to be a virus

have you by any chance recently installed or changed your
anti virus s/ware
i have norton on my machine and i got a similiar problem. To fix it all i had to do was turn script blocking off in the options setting of norton anti virus
