A previous program installation was never completed

Hi

I am getting the above message when trying to install IE5. I have totally uninstalled IE4, IE3 and IE2 which were on this PC, but it comes up with "Windows Update Setup - a previous program installation was never completed. You need to restart your computer to complete that installation before running IE Setup. Setup will now close". I can't tell you how many times we've restarted the PC but it's a lot

I have gone through Microsoft ID Article Q221863 which didn't work. Any ideas?

Try this one. I have used this procedure numerous times and it has worked every time. Hope this helps....
