The problem is that once certain diskettes are read by the computer, any new diskette inserted will show the same directoy/file structure as the first diskette. It happened with Win95 and with Win2000. After a reboot the 2nd diskette files are properly dispayed. Is this a virus?

Not likely a virus.

It is often necessary to press F5 to refresh the My Computer window with the contents of the new diskette.

Thanks for the reply. F5 does not fix it, also picking refresh from the pulldown menu does not fix it.
The same problem appears in DOS mode using "DIR".
If I copy a file from the diskette, the copy contains
parts of different files from the diskette.
