I have a small problem, We are running CCM 4.1 Been running smoothly for 8 months with only the odd problem. That was until yesterday mormning.

I had 9 users report that they cannot make calls from their 7940's. They can recieve calls no problems at all. 2 of the users are in the same area the rest are scattered around the site ( 3000 Phones dotted around a Very large site)

The first thing we done was to reset the phones no Change.

I then Logged on to the Switch's to which they were connected closed the port down then re-enabled ( in effect disconnecting them from the network and doing a hard reboot). Success on 3. that left 6 still unable to call out.

I then deleted the phones from the CCM and re-added still no joy.......... thats were Im at, at the moment

It has since come to light that at around the same time Callback facility on the phone ceased to function. ( All phones affected )

I cannot get this to work. Is there a service that I can stop and restart for this.

Do you think that it is linked, one of the users said they tried to do a call back and after that they were unable to make calls.... Is that the red herring !!!!!

Any Info would be great

When was the last ime the servers were rebooted? If it's been a while, reboot them at an off time. I usually tell my customers to reboot CCM and Unity once a month. They're still running Windows after all.
