A pencil Drawing something

i had this idea (which i'm sure others have had, so please don't flame me) to have draw a pencil on flash, then use the pic of a pencil and move it around the screen. does anybody know a relatively simple way for the picture of the pencil to leave a trail, thus slowly drawing a picture, or writing a name maybe?
