Hi,

I'm using Accpac 5.6A PU3 on Windows Server 2006 and MS SQL 2005.

After the question whether all checks have been printed successfully after printing A/P checks, A/P just hangs and I have to kill it from the task manager.
This error does not happen every time. Sometimes it works others it just freezes.
Under the ADMIN logon the error does not seem to happen.
I've given the user all permissions but the error is still happening.

Anyone has experienced this before? How can I investigate what causes it and fix it?

Run rvspy. Is it really hanging or just taking some time to process?

No it properly hangs.

RVSpy stops here:

Code:
5218] BK0009: BKREG    [21:20:44.08].Get(view=0x0784FA9C, field=19, size=10)
   [5218] 0 <==[21:20:44.08;t=0;ovh=0] {buffer='\00\00\00\00\00\01\07\55\19\0c' -> 10755190}
   [5218] BK0009: BKREG    [21:20:44.09].Get(view=0x0784FA9C, field=21, size=3)
   [5218] 0 <==[21:20:44.09;t=0;ovh=0] {buffer='\41\55\44' -> 'AUD'}
   [5218] BK0009: BKREG    [21:20:44.09].Get(view=0x0784FA9C, field=27, size=3)
   [5218] 0 <==[21:20:44.09;t=0;ovh=0] {buffer='\45\4e\47' -> 'ENG'}

I'm using a custom form. Could it be that?

The custom form shouldn't affect anything. Accpac doesn't know if Crystal completed the printing process or not; that's why it asks you. Once you indicate that it did print correctly it will start to update the transactions in the database.

What are your growth settings for your database and what backup option are you using (Full or Simple)?

I believe I have fixed it.

I remembered running the ISAM scan in order to prepare for the version 6 upgrade.
After renaming the user's folder, and logging back in, everything was working as normal again.

Not sure what is in the user folder that would prevent checks from posting.
