Norstar 6.1 with T7316E and T24 KIM Bundle Availability
Introduction
The purpose of this bulletin is to announce the availability of Marketing bundles to address installed base customers that would like to upgrade their existing Norstar CICS or MICS system to 6.1 software and take advantage of the T7316E telephone and T24 KIM module.
These bundles are available for ordering effective the date of this bulletin.
Product Description/Solution Overview
These Marketing bundles consist of Norstar 6.1 software, one T7316E Charcoal telephone, and two T24 Charcoal KIM modules.
CICS/MICS 6.1 delivered core software support for the T24 Key Indicator Module and the enhanced T7316E. The T7316E replaced the T7316 and has been positioned as a multi-purpose professional terminal. It will serve as a high call volume telephone for Managers and Executives; and form the basis for the BST Central Answering Position. Enhancements include:
• Support for the T24 Key Indicator Module
• Multi-segment icons
• Dedicated hands free button w/LED
• Default features based on profiles
• Default line and hunt group assignment
• Busy Lamp Field (BLF)
• OA&M navigation buttons (Norstar)
• Quick reference pull-out tray
The T24 Key Indicator Module is a 24 button module that attaches directly to the T7316E to form the BST Central Answering Position. Features include:
• Multi-segment icons
• Multiple appearances of target lines
• Multiple appearances of hunt groups
• Support for up to 4 T24 KIM’s (power supply not required) for up to 9 T24 KIM’s (power supply required)
• Support for up to 5 T7316E’s with up to 4 T24 EKIM’s per set (Maximum 20 T24 EKIM’s per system)
• Support for virtually an unlimited number of T24 OKIM’s per system
