Hi as a newbie to this site and with a little paradox knowledge... I am not sure if i can do this with paradox.
Here is what I am working on, I have a chart that I have created based on a table, I would like to use something like a slidebar or ? to generate a vertical bar or line on the chart that as I move it, it changes the value on the chart.
ie. All values start at 10 and then go up and down as time goes by but if I move the bar to a new location (time) the bar would now recalc going forward and backward from that point 10 times new value hence changeing the lines on the charts.
If You can...Am I barking up the right tree using Paradox for this and where could I find examples to get me going.
Thanks,
Kim

Sounds like you only have one table. I know you probably want your project to look cool (everyone does) but is it something that can better be done with a spreadsheet (Quattro or Excel) and formulas?

You can still have your X (columns) and Y (rows), then just fill in the cells with the appropriate formulas. You still have all the options (by right-clicking) and taking "Properties" to add:

1. Borders and shading.
2. Different Background colors.
3. Different text colors.
4. etc.

And you don't have to code anything other than formulas!

SonOfTed, Thanks fot your reply
No i wish it was as easy as using a spread. I am working with multiple companies, I could possible write a script that I could reuse however part of what i want is visual not in "looks" but function. It's hard to descibe but...
I'm looking at year over year with one company at a time,
ie. Main chart with multiple skins. (Able to turn some skins (years) on and off with the "visual.prop" Visually picking a specific area of the chart and trapping for those values for future research of just those years.
Or I can combine multiple years into one table with each year being a different field. Esentually turning off years through a number of ways.
By being able trap by means of isolating time via 2 vertical slide bars 1 horizontal slide for amptitude would work well with my visual needs.
My "future research" would require another vert slide to base off of 10 with percentages increasing or decreasing from that point on forward or reverse.
I appreciate any and all input or sugestions as to what pitfalls may lie ahead. : )
